Ian Knepper
A graduate of the esteemed Newark School of Violin making, Ian Knepper is a maker of fine violins, violas and cellos based in Cork city. Ian spent three years training with Jeremie Legrande before commencing studies in the UK, where he made many handmade instruments and carried out extensive restorations. He also had the opportunity during this time to work in violin workshops in Europe as part of his work experience and to sell his instruments abroad. Ian is also a passionate musician who enjoys playing Appalachian music and Irish traditional music.
